Why Small Street Preaching Teams?

Five Main Reasons

  1. The Bible indicates smaller groups as the norm (see below)
  2. Smaller teams are easier to manage
  3. Smaller teams are less likely to be challenged by authorities
  4. Smaller teams can obtain more coverage with the Gospel
  5. Small teams can maneuver easily and quickly

Footnotes: [1] John the Baptist although a solo minister, was the last of the Old Testament prophets during a time of transition to the New Covenant. [2] The twelve (minus Judas), according to Foxes book of Martyrs, traveled separately into the furthest regions of the world where they died at the hands of persecutors. John was the only one who died a natural death. There is no indication that they went two by two at this point. [3] Although a husband & wife team there is no indication they went on a preaching circuit. Other notations: Some of the time when there was a large party, they were traveling on Church business rather than evangelizing the lost.
